Dental team- Dr Lemons & Dr Moreau- GA/LA

We welcomed a new dental team this year.  It was a combined team from two different practices.

Dr. Lemons was from Atlanta, GA with his assistant, Jaclyn
and
Dr Moreau was from New Orleans, LA with his 2 assistants, Shannon and Emily and his wife, Julie.

This was a great group of people and we really enjoyed getting to know them.

They were here in the Dental Clinic serving the needs of the community while we had two other teams here.  It was a crazy week to say the least, but we so enjoyed our time with them.

Dr Lemons and Jaclyn gave our kids some sweet gifts-this outfit is Emme's favorite now!

Leyton got some cool PJs from them  They really spoiled our kids!

 Dr Lemons and Dr Moreau and their team were awesome!  Just a neat groups of dentists that are willing to step out and serve!

Thanks for taking care of us and spoiling our kids and the kids here in Costa Rica!

June Fun!!

To say that June was a hard month, is more than underestimating things....

5 teams
2 Science fair projects
2 winning Science fair projects that needed to be RE-DONE
2 sick kids
1 fall and a concussion  by a child
1 trip to Children's Hospital for said child
48 hours of waking up said child
Exhaustion
Interpreting
Running
Washing clothes
Giving out donated clothes
Too busy to clean house or go shopping for food
Behavior issues at school
1broken axle on the car
Realizing you reversed dates and your residency cards are EXPIRED
Starting the renewal process of residency cards in the middle of busy team season
And realizing you still have 1 month and a half to get through before you have a little bit of down time.
And all while living in another country, speaking another language and trying to manage teams, home, school, kids--and, oh yeah, what's that thing called....oh that's right,--LIFE!

This was one tough day

After a couple of days, they were finally on the mend

Scooters were donated and we found them a lovely home!

BelPres Team, WA

The last week of July, we welcomed back Bellevue Presbyterian Church from Bellevue, Washington.  This was a great group and we even had a couple of returnees--which is always a good sign!

 Went to a bible study/cell group on Friday night.  Asked the team to share a little about their time here.

The group got to hear Ronald share in front of people for the first time. He is a very young believer

 For our fun day, we went to Los Sueños ziplining and a day at the beach, but we stopped at the Tarcoles River to check out the crocs!

We are really high up and they are REALLY big!

 We also took them downtown to see the sights.  They LOVED the pigeons.  Most of the team never said anything about being scared of or hating birds, but they were the focus of all attention when they were screaming.  Some of the locals even got in on it and started throwing food towards them so the birds would attack!  But we had lots of fun and no one got pooped on--a MIRACLE!

 After the team left, they left us donations--crafts, clothes and left over VBS shirts...The teachers were SUPER happy to get a new t-shirt!  Thanks BelPres!

We loved our time with the team and just getting to hang out with them serving the kids and community at the Abraham Project.  Thank you for your time and work!
