So April was a fun month! We had a couple of teams, some traveling and a birthday!
Check out what our life looks like through photos!
ENJOY!
April included 2 teams, a returning team from Living Hope Baptist Church from Bowling Green, KY and another Joshua Expeditions team from Hollywood, Florida.

Bruce got to replace the roof that he came down to shingle back in 2009. That would have been the trip that Emme was 3 years old and I was pregnant with Leyton. That was also the Ice Storm of 2009 in KY where we lost power and water in the frigid temperatures....and Bruce was in Costa Rica....but I'm still not bitter....after more than 10 years. But just as with the roof--out with the old and in with the new! I'll let it go for now!

Leyton got to go with us on the fun day to spend time with some of the kids on the Living Hope team! He was all smiles |
|
On our way back to the mainland....a beautiful sunset |
|
We got to see the pig on the island! |
While working with the ladder at the Project, Bruce dropped the ladder on his toe...eventually it turned into a black toe and fell off!
|
He still ran with it like this! EW! |
In April, we took advantage of getting out of the city with our friends, Natalia and David and finally got to see Rio Celeste (Light blue river)
|
This is the point where with two rivers meet and the river turns blue because of a reaction. |

The kids loved swimming in the river |

BEAUTIFUL |
|
There is a story about this is where God dipped His paint brush in the river when we painted the sky. Seriously so blue! |
While we were up north in Guanacaste we took advantage of being close to the Katira Maze. It was a life size maze--like a corn maze, except with bushes and flowers! It was awesome!

In April, we also had some transitions. One of Leyton's friends from school moved back to Mexico. So before Santiago left, we hung out with him and shared a few more minutes outside of school before he left!

We also go to doggy sit our friend's dog, Jax. The dogs just love when their friend comes over and they wear each other out!

April 22 is Leyton's birthday. We took him out and celebrated him turning 10! He wanted to go to the Hamburguesía for his birthday!

Also for his birthday, we went to see a movie with the family.

In April, I also started volunteering at the Deaf School in Cartago. It has been quite a challenge, but I'm excited to get involved in the Deaf community here in Costa Rica and to learn LESCO (Costa Rican Sign Language)
