August Fun!

Check out what we did in August!  Enjoy our life in photos!

August was a busy month for us. But we said good bye to all of our interns and finished out our busy team season! We welcomed just one team but also had a trip to Texas for a wedding and I went to Fort Wayne for my parent's 50th anniversary!

TLCC Church from NJ

Our interns:

Caroline, Kennedy (kinda), Matt, Sean, Sophie

We went to Texas for Abbie and Austin's wedding.  Abbie was one of our interns at the very beginning of 2018. She asked Bruce to marry them, so we took a quick trip to Texas for the wedding and get to hang out with them and help with the wedding preparations.

Texas looks a little different than Costa Rica!

Looking good!

So beautiful!

With Abbie and Austin. So thankful for them! And getting to be a part of their special day!

Photo op!

A decent picture! Hallelujah!

To say it was a whirlwind, tiring trip is an understatement!

I was able to go to Fort Wayne to surprise my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. It was nice to help my mom and dad around the house and finish some projects outside before winter hit. They had no idea I was coming! It was a great surprise!

Had a cookout with my parents and my brothers!

Our family picture! It's been awhile!

Emme had a swimming tournament in Lindora. Her second to last tournament in the pools before she graduates to Open Swims (ocean and lakes)

Love that he is so into reading!

We got to know a missionary couple from KY, to help them in whatever they needed. It was nice to be able to hang out with them. When they left, we had one last hurrah with dinner and card games.

We also said good bye to one of our interns, Sophie. We all loved her and can't wait for her to come back!

Basically she fits right in to our crazy family!
One of the big jobs we helped with was a LARGE, GINORMOUS clothing donation. We help move the bags of clothes, sort them and organize them, so the church could open it to the public.

Hundreds of clothes made their way to the Project

Always reading--and with a puppy!
In August, one our friends' dad passed away. He was a pillar of the Abraham Project and it was hard to realize that he would no longer be here with us. He left such a mark on our lives and many, many others'.
When I heard that Don Herbert passed away, this is the sunset that I saw. It was only fitting that God would welcome him home with a sunset and celebration like this.

Gotta play nintendo as either Mario or Luigi!

That is pretty much what we did, in a nut shell....

Thanks for checking it out!

In HIM,
