Calvary Baptist Christian Academy, PA

In May, we welcomed a new team from Calvary Baptist Christian Academy, PA.

The team leaders had been here before with a vision clinic, but they wanted to bring back their senior class at their school. So we were super excited to welcome a new team and form new relationships!

Check out their week!

Bruce ran his first marathon, on the first day that the team was here, but fortunately, the leaders wanted to be a part of it and the team came down to support Bruce.

The team ran behind Bruce as he crossed the line

The team with the famous Mario, Egyptian, Indian and Chef!
The team worked in the daycare and did an awesome job of activities and kept the kids engaged the whole time!  The kids loved it and I think the team did too!

The boys working hard!
The team also worked really hard on Phase 2. They worked on rebar and starting to build the columns for the house walls.

Learning to do rebar
We, of course, had the team to our house for dinner and we ate good food and had a good time getting to know them!

Aaron brought his yo-yo and the kids were fascinated!

Everyone was engaged!

Stickers everywhere!
This was one of the leaders, Leslie and one of our daycare teachers, Leonor--and we thought they looked so much alike! They agreed!

On one of the days the team was working, we had a torrential downpour and the wall and storage shed flooded, so they had to get muddy and work hard to make a diversion of the water away from the wall. It was crazy and muddy!

The finished job
The team also went to La Carpio to serve the kids in the feeding ministry and do activities with them! They had a great time, as always!

The team chose to go to Arenal zip lining and Baldi Hot Springs for their fun day.

We had a few kids that didn't want to do zip lining, but at the end they were happy they did!

We are so thankful for the time we had with Calvary Baptist C.A, and can't wait for them to return!
