JE Team- Prestonwood Christian Academy, TX

In March, we welcomed our first Joshua Expeditions team of 2017! And of course, we started the year out right with Prestonwood Christian Academy from Texas. This team comes to us every year for 2 days out of their trip.  Normally, they come and we work the high school students like rented mules, but this year, they wanted to do more with children....ok, ok, so we let them into the daycare to work and play with the kids--but we also made them work!

Take a look!!

PCA 2017
Working in the daycare--they brought activities and got to practice their Spanish
working with 4-6 year olds

working with the 3-4 year olds
This team also got to spend some time on the playground with the kiddos
getting attacked by all the kids!

If you play tag...you're going to get caught!
So for work, the team helped us clean up from the previous team.  We had a team of 4 guys come a RE-DO all children's showers in the Children's Homes.  There was a lot of dust and reorganizing of the closets. So they helped us with that--what a blessing!!

Of course I did not take any pictures of them cleaning or reorganizing clothes....because I was right there too trying to get it cleaned up...FAIL!!

The old drawers had to be taken to Phase 2 in storage and all the other stuff in front of the house had to be put back!

The obligatory Phase 2 picture!
And then an afternoon of playing with the kids in the daycare!!

Kids love 9 square in the air!

Chalk in the parking lot--always a favorite!

we take over the whole parking lot!

Soccer in the parking lot! We only had one little mishap!  Right, Melody!!??
We are always so thankful for Prestonwood and all the work they do with us!  We are so thankful for their partnership!

This year they also came with over 300 pounds of donations!!! Clothes, shoes, school supplies, medicine and a little bit of everything else!!

Those donations not only provided for the needs in the children's homes, but also in two other communities--La Carpio- Las Gradas and also Calle Girales! What a blessing!!

Thanks Prestonwood Christian Academy for being the hands and feet of Christ without even knowing the impact it had!
