July Fun!!

As we entered into our first busy season, we were....BUSY!!!  Not only did we have teams the whole month of July, we also had dental teams and we were fighting sickness into August.  It was the WORST time to get sick!  I started out with sickness in May...which continued through Junish/Julyish.  Then Leyton had a 24 hour bug (vomiting/ slight diarrhea), then  Emme had a viral thing, then Leyton had it.  Bruce had a MAJOR bout with Bronchitis and saw 3 different doctors and 4 different antibiotics.  We were thankful that one of the teams had a doctor and he gave us some inhalers--that was definitely a GOD SEND!!!!!  We continued the sickness into August as we were finishing our last teams.....But thankfully, we made it through our first busy season!  Therefore, there are not a lot of pictures of anything we did, not even much from the teams, because it was just enough for us to get through the day!

But here is a little look into our July through a camera lens!  ENJOY!

As the Project worked on a retaining wall, Leyton got to play king of the mountain!

With 2 teams, we enjoyed a wonderful 4th of July cookout!  Almost looks like the States, right!?

Leyton enjoying the food and a look at the team at the cookout!

Just thought it was a cool pic that one of the daycare kids made!

We introduced Leyton to Bevis and Butthead--not the show, just the phase of "I am cornholio"--that's it!

Really cool bug! It was bright lime green with a shimmer of iridescent--so cool!

Just wanted to show my awesome manicure that the 4-6 year old girls in the daycare gave me!

A beautiful sunset after several days of not seeing the sun!

No words......

Emme was a part of a dance at her school for the Annexation de Guanacaste. Her teacher was surprised that she had a typical dress.

We started building scaffolding for measurements of the roof....super scary especially on a windy day!

We celebrated 12 years of marriage--look at us, so young!

Found these at Walmart....something you don't see everyday--and it made mine!

Leyton and Emme getting to "work" with the team on the scaffolding--this one was only 10 feet

Getting higher....ugh!
Here are the teams that we hosted in July....Simply wonderful!

Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, Georgia

Faith Community Church, Elkhart, Indiana

Gateway City Church, Wichita, Kansas

Dental team, Dr. Emily Letran, California

After returning from Costa Rica, Dr Emily published her book shortly after! Amazing woman, hope to get to read the book soon! Check it out!

Dental team, Dr. Fred, Staten Island, New York

New City Church, Washington, DC

Bellevue Presbyterian Church, Bellevue, Washington

At at the end of the month, we were pooped!  But we met some amazing people, heard some amazing testimonies and worked alongside each other for, not ourselves, but for others and our Savior to share His love with the people!

In HIM,
