March Fun!

Here is what we have been up to the last month......Enjoy our life through pictures!

During March, we welcomed 4 teams. They were short term teams (1-2 days) but we got a lot of work done and loved on the kids in the daycare and Children's Homes!

Fort Bend Christian Academy, TX

Prestonwood Christian Academy, TX

Burnsview Secondary, Delta, British Columbia, Canada

Southeastern University, FL

We had Eliel and Rode's cell group over for a movie night in our back yard!  With popcorn, drinks and even boiled peanuts! Much cheaper than going to the actual theater!

The cell group watching the movie!
This is what working on Phase 2 looks like! A DUST BOWL!

Our truck! Still puttin' in work!
On March 10th, I ran in the infamous Sol y Arena (sun and sand) beach run in Puntarenas. It was a 100% on the sand 10K (6.2 miles) run. It was HOT, but so glad I did it!
On our way to the beach, with our intern Abbie!

I literally had to watch my feet so I didn't get hit by a wave!

Finished! Not a PR, but I didn't die--so that's a plus!

When you go to take off your sweaty running clothes and you leave your phone unattended!

And this fool!

In February and March, I was able to attend the English speaking Ladies bible study of "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World." I was so encouraged by these ladies during our time together!

2018 Ladies group-minus a few people

Thanks to one of our teams, they brought us Orange Marmalade! Orange Chicken! yum yum
We also had homemade pizza night with friends at our house!

Just another day in Costa Rica--sit down to watch a movie and the electricity randomly goes off!

Leyton made these really cool glasses out of Legos! Pretty cool!

We got to have a fun water balloon fight with one of our teams! Kids LOVED it!

Both kids got to work with us during Semana Santa (Holy Week). One liked it--one didn't--can you guess?!

Our materials for part of the privacy fence along Phase 2 was delivered! We are ready to start work on it first week of April!

With it being Semana Santa (Holy Week), everywhere you drive you see the reenactments of Jesus' crucifixion. This was on Thursday, when the Roman soldiers were making their way to Jesus.

Reenactment on Holy Thursday

Thanks for your support!
