Living Hope Team, Bowling Green, KY

Right after Easter/ Holy Week, we welcomed our 10th team of the year, Living Hope Baptist Church.  This team has been a part of the Abraham Project for 12+ years.  They send a team down every year, and we have been so fortunate to be a small part of their support in leading their teams for the past two years.  We are so thankful that God allowed us to cross paths.  They are a serving team and really know how to pour into all of us here at the Abraham Project.

Here is a little sneak peek at their awesome week with us!

The children from the Children's Homes got to have their annual Egg Hunt!
The kids love to take part in this American culture activity!

The team got to dig trenches around 2 of the 3 houses.  They were laying a barrier to protect the houses from termites.  Digging in the dry, dry, DRY ground in DRY season=LOTS OF WORK!!
Leyton helping Justin dig, dig, dig

Taking a break....
Can't remember how many pipes we broke.....but this was the last one.  Paige didn't do it, but she covered the pipe until the water was turned off.  I missed the video of her getting sprayed....DARN IT!!

Sub sandwiches with the children's homes kids! Made to order...like SUBWAY!

Taking a tour and praying over Phase 2

The team on Phase 2 with the church lighthouse behind them

The children from the daycare make a special card for the team for all of their hard work! So sweet!

The team!

They got to finish tearing down the bodega that was partially blown down by the wind!

Paige telling the roof to, "TAKE THAT!!"
It took serious planning so no one got hurt!

Especially from below

I just think this is so cute!

And this too....the newlyweds are playing in the dirt together!

The team has cooked a spaghetti dinner for the last 3 or so years.  Every year we get Prego...this year they didn't have any at Price Smart (think Costco), until the day after the team left....OF COURSE! But the spaghetti turned out GREAT!
Emily cooking the sauce!
Cutting, buttering and preparing the bread for the dinner!

Coffee time with the workers!

Some of the ladies got to help another missionary with her Mommy and Me class.

Some of the moms and kids doing the crafts

Overall, we had a great week with the team from Living Hope.  We are always so excited to get to see returning faces--and to get to meet to people as well!  We are so thankful for the long time relationship and to just be a small part in the partnership!

See you again, next year, LIVING HOPE!!!!

In HIM,
the crawfords
