April Fun, 2016!

Here is a look at our life in April.....just a glimpse through pictures.

Enjoy!

We got to spend some time with a small team visiting and invited Sergio Nix and his family to share their vision for the Skate Ministry Creencia Urbano.  He shared his testimony with the group

Nix sharing his testimony

And what happens when the devil gets mad...he turns out the lights!
But we continued on with candles and phone lights!

The team gifted the Skate Ministry with 10 skateboards to do outreach

April was also Science Fair time!

Leyton practicing his presentation
We also got to go on a get away with our friends Natalia and David.  We went to Manuel Antonio.

The kids in the ocean

Where we hung out all day

Bruce and I watching the kids
We also welcomed our returning team from Living Hope Baptist in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We did lots of outreach and work at the Project.

The team!

The team took their fun day to La Fortuna and Baldi.  So blessed to get to spend the day like this:

This was a good day....

Finally we were able to get up to Maria's house more easy with our truck.  It is such a blessing to have. Read about this blessing here:

Our new truck--there is a post about this blessing!
This is the walk way up to her house.

We made it!

This is Maria's house in the middle of a coffee field.  That's her in the window!

Phase 2 has a lot of wild cherry tomatoes growing....yum!

Bruce finally made a maple bacon cheesecake.  Add it to the list of recipes!
YUM!!
Always when we are driving around Costa Rica we see Emme's name tagged everywhere.  We researched it and it is a Tag group.  And the funny part is it is spelled exactly like Emme's name, which is uncommon here.  We yell at her all the time for sneaking out of the house to tag all night!

The best one!
I love it when we get to introduce guaba to visitors. It is a very interesting "fruit". Read about it more here:
Guaba
A comparison for size
One night we, again, had Nacho Libre night and ate nachos--YUM!

The nacho spread!

This little guy ran into our window.  Bruce picked him up and after a couple of minutes getting his brain back in place, he took off!

Leyton celebrated his 7th birthday here.  He had been begging us to take him to the ceramics place to paint something.  Finally he got his wish!

Prepping their pieces

Leyton chose a dragon

Emme chose a horse

So intense

Both are so artistic like their daddy

Another project for Leyton was his Family Tree.

Turned out pretty good
From January to April, I tutored 3 ladies in English to pass their high school exam.  We found out in May that they passed!  So proud of how hard they worked in a short time to prepare for the exam.

The last class before the exam!
Emme and Leyton both had a presentation for the celebration of Juan Santa Maria Day.  Leyton's class dressed up typical style and presented a poem

Emme's class also presented a poem.

Just another beautiful day walking in my neighborhood

The kids and I got to play Sorry for the first time!  Thanks Gray Family for the gift.

April was a good month! Thank you for your support!
