When God moves!

So, when God moves--HE MOVES!

I have put off this post because I honestly don't have the words to describe how awesome our God is and how unworthy I feel of his constant blessings.

On March 1, Bruce sent out a letter to many of our supporters--leaders of churches, groups, leaders in churches, etc.  This letter was to raise funds for a newer vehicle.  We were blessed 3 years ago with funds our youth group at our home church to buy our Volkswagen Jetta. It served us well for those years.  But we were starting to need to haul tools, people from the airport and we started partnering with churches that were getting just a little too hard for us to get to in our Jetta.

We also wanted to help out with the Skate Ministry that Sergio Nix runs.  Now that the Multi purpose building is finished, they go out to different parks and set up Skate events around San Jose area.  Nix doesn't have a car and getting ramps from here to there was not easy.  We love what he is doing and wanted to get more involved in it.

So with the letter, we were able to buy a this vehicle in a matter of a month and a half.  A MONTH AND A HALF!!!!!

It is a 2008 Toyota Hilux (not made in States) 4x4 diesel.  It only had 175,000km (approx 110, 000) miles on it! We found it on line and with the help--A LOT OF HELP from our friend David, we were able to purchase it with cash.  The owner took very good care of it--it is almost too nice, AND he gave us a better deal than the original asking price! GOD IS GOOD!

Checking out the truck the first time
After bringing it home, Leyton was excited about riding in the back!

The first week couple days that we had truck we were already putting it to work!

We took food donations up to Rio Azul

We took some of the skate ramps to an event for Nix and his skate ministry

We moved boxes for the Missions department

LOTS of boxes

We took food donations around to families here

We picked up a new washing machine for the children's home!

But, with all this amazingness, the best part was what we did with our Jetta.

We gave it to our friends Eliel and Rode.  This was a total shock for them.  They didn't even have licenses.  But the night that we did all the transfers, Eliel's dad's car broke down, and the next day, they used their new car to get back and forth to work.

Eliel signing all the paperwork
When Eliel signed the paperwork, he said, " This is the first thing that I have ever had in my own name."  It was a big deal for him.
Taking possession of the car!
We know that it is not a perfect car, but we hope it to be a blessing for them.  We hope it serves them well.

Again, where do you find the words to thank people who have given their hard earned money in order for us to have a vehicle?  I have never been any good at trying to express my feelings very well--especially when I don't feel worthy.
God has been moving in people on our behalf.

I am reminded of these verses:

Matthew 6:7-8- "When you pray, don't babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.  Don't be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him."

Phillippians 4:19- " And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.  Now all glory to God our Father forever and ever! Amen"

Zechariah 8:13- "...I will save you that you may become a blessing..."

Proverbs 11:25- "The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed."

As I know that my words of thanks are never enough, I am reminded that all blessings come from God above and I give all glory to HIM and not to anything that WE have done.  The truck is a blessing from GOD and the people who gave money to us obeyed what God laid on their hearts.  May God continue to bless you for being a blessing to us and may he refresh each of them for being so generous to us.

That is my prayer for each and everyone of our supporters. Whether financial-one time or monthly supporters, people who have sent us care packages, given us spending money for family needs, clothing, prayers, gifts or any words of encouragement--MAY GOD BLESS YOU TEN-FOLD AS HIS WORD SAYS.

Thank you to each and every person who has played ANY part of us being here doing God's work in Costa Rica and the Abraham Project. As we are only here because of your obedience in listening intently to the Holy Spirit moving in you.

For that, THANK YOU, is all I am able to say--although I never feel it is enough.

in HIM,
the crawfords
