January fun!

January 2018--It has been 5 and a half years of living in Costa Rica! 

Can you believe it!?

Bruce had to drive the backhoe down that big hill and back up the other side! He did it, but all the workers were watching him waiting to flip over! It was so scary!

Bruce and Leyton got to bond while Bruce taught him how to drive the backhoe.

While we were in the States, Bruce and I ran in a half marathon with our friend, Kristin. It was both our first half marathon! And we finished!

WE DID IT!!

We welcomed two teams right when we got back from the States. The first was a one day team from Ohio and a returning team from Tennessee!

While Love and Truth was here, they invited us to join them, as a family, on their fun day! So we had a last hurrah before school started! We got to go to Tortuga Island and enjoy the day as a family!

Leyton and I got to do the banana boat together! It was the first time he was "big"enough" to do an activity!

 Bruce and I did one of the eco walk and hiked up to the top of the island

Emme and I also got to go snorkeling together--no pictures, but we had an amazing time!

On our flight back, we ran into our friend, Brett who was also heading to CR! What a coincidence!

We had friends over before school started! The adults played cards and the kids watched a movie in the backyard on the wall like a movie theater! We bought the projector and a DVD player as a family Christmas present! It's so fun having a movie theater in our backyard!

 Emme came downstairs one day with her hair like this and she totally reminded me of the YouTube Vegan guy--What do you think!? haha

 Leyton brought his bike down to the Project one day and shared it with some of the Children's Homes kids.

By the end of January, after our Love and Truth Team, we had all of Phase 2 cleared and ready to start the ground work!
