Holidays in the States Part 4: Atlanta

After our time in Kentucky, we headed to Atlanta, Georgia to spend time with supporters, friends and do some sight seeing.  It was the first time that we had been to Atlanta, and we had some wonderful friends show us around.  It was also nice to be out of the freezing temperatures of Indiana and Kentucky!

Check out some of what we did:

We were excited about getting out of the deep freeze!

Leyton was a tired boy!

Yes, he is asleep!

These guys!

Emme fell asleep after the airport!
This was her pretty much the whole car ride!

At our friend's house.  The kids loved the wooded area behind their house--I'm pretty sure they could have stayed there all day!

The turkeys that come to the house everyday like clockwork! Emme got to take these pictures!

We got to get involved with one of the ministries of Mount Pisgah Church in Atlanta.  They have a group of Special Needs members.  One of their activities is wheelchair basketball.  Bruce got to take part of the ministry and played wheelchair basketball WITH them!  It was really entertaining and a great ministry!

Emme got to try it out too, but not on the court!

Even had a smaller one for Leyton--he could fly!

The Titan Team! It was a good turn out!

We also got to go to the Atlanta Aquarium.  We had tickets to go to the Coke Museum, but with me just having surgery, I wasn't moving too well.  So we only made it to the Aquarium.  So happy we did! WE ALL LOVED IT!

Sometimes I am thankful for this man....other times, not!

Outside the Coke Museum

This penguin LOVED me and my phone!

CRAB!

Loved the seahorses

The tunnel was so cool!

SHARK!

Manta Ray was pretty big!

The big tank!

Leyton thought the scuba guys were pretty cool!

This tank was over 6 million gallons of water!

Two of the whale sharks!

Kids checking out the albino croc!

Bruce and I in front of the tank!
While we were in Atlanta, we also got to visit Mount Pisgah church on Sunday.  They are now sending groups to us.  Here is one of the posters for members to sign up!

And Bruce got to have some AMAZING steaks while we were there--grilled to perfection! Thanks Ed and Patti!

We were so thankful to be invited to Atlanta.  It was a great time of fellowship, seeing former
mission team members and having some sight seeing vacation time as a family!  We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this whole trip possible!  Thankful to all the people who love us in various ways--giving us a car, a place to stay, feeding us, loving on our kids, giving us opportunities to make family memories and of course financial partners who make it all possible!

Thank you!
