August Fun!

In August, we had a blast! It was nearing end of team season, we were busy with teams most of the month, but we did get to visit with friends and some meet new friends!

In August, we welcomed 3 teams to the Abraham Project.  The first team is a returning team from Touch the World-The Life Christ Church in New Jersey.  We love the leader of this team and always enjoy the team she brings.

We also welcomed a new team from Valparaiso, Indiana. It was a family team. They may have been young, but they were ready to serve!

At the end of August, we welcomed a men's team from Riverstone Church in ATL. Bruce absolutely loves having a small men's team to get to hang out with. It is a blessing for him.

We also had some friends come through Costa Rica for their wedding anniversary. So we finally met Eddie's wife, Jan and got to let her experience The Abraham Project for herself! We also got to spend a little time with them and go out and fellowship together!

This year we were blessed by a family to purchase a stove and refrigerator. After many months of looking for the best deal, we finally had time to go a purchase them. Now we can fit normal size cookie sheets in our oven! It's the little things.....

August 15th is Mother's Day in Costa Rica. So we celebrated with our Tico family here. It is always a great time celebrating with them.  Sometimes it makes being away from our family just a little bit easier.

We were blessed by one of the teams with some comfort food and hard to find things here in Costa Rica--Graham crackers, Hershey bars, marshmallows (S'MORES!!), Jif peanut butter and nuts!
