After a couple of years, we welcomed back a group from Christian Life Center outside of Chicago. We were so excited to have them back and they brought an AWESOME group with them!

The team was working in both the daycare and in construction. They made huge marks in both, but they were especially loved in the daycare--and they brought the Love of Christ!

This team brought a lot to the table, but probably one of the most impactful parts was their prayers. As part of the team was working with the kids in the daycare classes, a couple other of the team asked for petitions and prayed for the teachers in each of the classrooms. I was told by several teachers that it was moving, lovely and deeply needed. God knows!

The team also did a special project of putting up a fence. It was really needed to keep people from dumping on the property. It was hot and hard work, not to mention the dirt was dry and hard! But we loved the fellowship while doing the LORD's work!

The team took a tour of the area. This is one of the neighborhoods of kids that we serve and attend our church. It was to give them a perspective of the families we serve and the surrounding area.

And then on Wednesday evening, the team went to the night of worship and it was told that they could sing....so they were asked to share a song with the church that night and everyone was blown away--Especially Pastor Jorge! He asked them to close in song at the end of service as well!

The team also took a day and went to La Carpio to serve with Pastor James and Cristina and serve in the feeding program and do activities with the kids.

We had such a great time with this group from CLC, and we can't wait to have them back again next year!
