Riverstone Men- GA

At the beginning of September, we welcomed a small men's team from Riverstone Church in Atlanta. It was a lot of return guys and a couple of new ones! It is always a nice time for Bruce to have this men's team because he gets to hang out with them and build stuff and be men! haha

Check out their week!

ENJOY!

The Riverstone Men's Team

The week started out by a tour of the project and then they got straight to work!

The team came ready to work and thankfully, they were all skilled workers and got right to working on prepping the floor and laying tile in the first apartment complex.

Laying the bathroom tile

That is not how you use a level....haha

Mixing and getting the tile laid out

I think it was a little loud.....

Unfortunately, while the guys were here, they had to stop working on the tile because the government pulled our permits. The guys were literally in the middle of laying the tile and although they wanted to finish the job, they weren't able to. After that, it was 7 weeks of jumping through hoops in order to get our permits back!

The Riverstone group totally knows us and blessed our family with some hard to get treats!  Graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate bars, nuts and Jif peanut butter!

JACKPOT!!

The guys got to go to cell group at Eliel's house and were welcomed into part of the family!

All the guys!

Having coffee time with the workers

Bruce took a piece of tile to the forehead and it cut him pretty deep.  As with all of his scars, he names them--you are looking at "The Riverstone"
Pretty nasty

For the fun day, the guys went deep sea fishing and Bruce was able to go with them. This is the only picture that Bruce took. The boat was very nice and all the guys had fun! They finished up the day cooking the fish they caught!
On the boat from the cabin!
Then Bruce left to go run his marathon in Erie Pennsylvania! He did great and cut off about 30+ minutes from his personal best!

Doing his thing!

 Thanks for taking a looksey!
