One World Outreach, IN

This year we welcomed a new team from Valparaiso, Indiana.  The leader of the team had been here years ago and she reached out to us to try to get on the schedule for the past 3 or so years, but it just never worked out! Finally, 2019 was the year to get a team here and it was a family team!  More kids than adults! But man, was it a fun team and just a great group of kids who understand servanthood and missions!

Check out their week!

ENJOY!

The One World Outreach team, Valparaiso, Indiana

Of course, we always have a night with the team at our house and dinner is always the way to start!

Costa Rica BBQ!

The team did an awesome job of children's activities in the daycare!

So creative!

Listening intently!

The team also worked on Phase 2. They helped us chip the walls so our workers could start the stucco work! Everyone had a chisel--even the kids!

Chipping away at the wall.
They also helped us clean walls in the Children's home. They scrubbed walls where all the kids put their hands and feet! It looked brand new!

The team also got to hear from missionaries throughout the week!

The team got to try the grapefruit that we have on Phase 2. Everyone took one back to Franco's to try!

Lots of grapefruit
For their fun day, the team went to two different places.

The first they went to Irazú volcano. It was COLD and WINDY, but it turned out to be a pretty view right before the clouds rolled in!

Turrialba Volcano could be seen on the drive down

The team also went to La Carpio to serve with Pastor James and Cristina in the feeding program and then do activities with the kids.

One of the games they played was to wrap a kid up in toilet paper!

This picture is something of a result of prayer. It was the first time that we had a child in a wheelchair come to the activities. Pastor James and Cristina had just recently put in a lift elevator or church services on Sunday and this day was the first time that a child was able to come up and do activities with us!

Teams with kids are always such a blessing for our kids!
