VBS- GCC, NJ

For the past 7 years, Grace Community Chapel (GCC) from New Jersey has been coming down and serving with the Abraham Project. For the past 4 years, they have been hosting a HUGE VBS for the kids at the Abraham Project and sometimes the surrounding neighborhood kids as well.

2019 was no different. It was BIG, it was AWESOME and everyone enjoyed it!

Check out the week while they were here!

ENJOY!!!

This is only part of the bags and boxes for the week!

On the last day, Thursday, we have a fun day with classes, activities, games and trampolines and yummy snacks. It is always a fun day. Then at night we have a celebration with the families and show them what the kids did all week. Dancing and worship, taekwondo and a video showing everything the kids experienced.

Friday night the team hosted a dinner for all the teachers, volunteers and interpreters! It was a Korean dinner--and it was yummy!

Eating really good food!

We also do a raffle for the teacher and volunteers, just to show how much we appreciate all that they put into the week!

On Friday, the team decided to go and visit families in the community. They gave them a gift of a food bag and prayed with the families. The team really got to see where the kids we serve come from and what it is like day in and day out for the kids and their families.

After the long day of prayer and food distribution, the team gathered for a simple lunch and fellowship.

Emme always loves having this team come and visit. It's getting to see old friends and meeting new ones!

We are so thankful for GCC and their partnership.

Please pray for their team. They are taking a sabbatical year after 7 years of coming and working with us. We will miss them next year, but know that it is the right thing for them to do as a church!

Thanks for reading!
